How to Cope from a Mental Breakdown

Note that I'm not an expert on mental health. This is what I know from experience and "research".

1) Have a support system.

This is especially if you have been fighting with your parents and they limit their contact with you. Don't use your friends to gain sympathy, but rather as a listening ear if you feel the need to speak.

2) Distract yourself for a little bit.

Even if it means butchering the rap from "Guns and Ships", do something by yourself or with a friend to forget about your problems, even just for a small amount of time.

3) Spend time by yourself.

Your parents might think that you're shunning yourself out from the rest of the world, you're really just trying to process everything that has happened without them potentially reprimanding you for doing so. Would not recommend if you prefer spending time with people.

4) Let the tears roll out.

You may think that crying in front of others is shameful, but in reality, it's not. Sometimes, tears can't be controlled.

5) Know that time will pass.

The person you've been fighting with for a while may eventually forgive you. Just try your best to apologize and be patient, because all of it will be over soon.
